Living in a Museum,
in a 500 years old Gothic Kemenate
Our kemenate is situated in the centre of Goslar, a more than 1000
years old imperial city and world cultural heritage, aside from
the pedestrian area and surrounded by churches, abbeys and the royal
palace which was built in 1050. It’s only a short hop of just less
than 100 metres to the historic market place. Here you can spend
some wonderful days.
The rooms of our original gothic kemenate are equipped aesthetically
with many objects originating from the 18th and 19th century – it’s
nearly like living in a museum but much more comfortable.
For music lovers, we have a piano ready to play (about 1900) as
well as a rock-ola jukebox of 1958. These preciosities are part
of the furnishing.
From the kitchen and the bedroom you have a wonderful view to the
historic late medieval garden of the family Schwartz. Of course,
guests are allowed to make use of the garden.
The quiet ambiance away from the street noise is completed by the
strike of the Goslar parish church and the carillon on the market.
